Yeah... My downstairs neighbors' kids just lost one of their ferrets this winter; they left the door to the apartment open and it probably froze outside. Now it's little ferret mate is all alone (which is tragic because ferrets are social animals). :(

The turtle was fine..i'm the one that was about to have a heart attack!I hate touching things like that.

Kids are ok with animals if the parents teach them to respect the animal.Mine are great about that.What i meant about them treating them like dogs was that they wanted to sleep with them and teach them to roll over.I think they thought the turtles were kinda boring.

My mom was the same way when I had hermit crabs. heehee
