Played the games. Love them for the atmosphere.

Thought the movie managed to capture a whole lot from the games but the atmosphere. Nevertheless i enjoyed it a lot.

The plot seemed pretty similar to the third video game's story, the strange religious cult and the sacrificial demonic girl, etc. While I actually considered this the most addictive silent hill game, I kind of hated the actual story. Imagine my disappointment when I finally got to see the movie. I agree that the atmosphere was dead-on and the choreography was really good. BUT why was Pyramid Head so tall? In the game, he didn't look any taller than anyone else wearing a large metal thing on his head. And what was with that horrible long-drawn out scene where the mad cultists burned up that poor lesbian police woman? Do I detect some homophobia?;)
