Resident Evil 3
![]() Resident Evil 4 ![]() Sanitarium ![]() The game that wins this is one of my favorite games of all time. It opened my eyes to video games with its creepiness and sheer fun. Having two discs with different openings that come together at parts is an amazing thing for a video game. With one of the best characters in the horror video game genre this game is definitely much deserved for the Best Horror Video Game award. That game is……

RESIDENT EVIL 2!!
![]() With Leon Kennedy as one of the best characters in video games in my opinion and the fact that you wonder what is gonna happen next this game just has you caught in it from the beginning. When you first encounter the “licker” and its spit drips from its tongue or when Ada Wong throws you the gun at the end to kill the boss this game is the best of the series and best game.

and my final award....
GorePhobia here and I am here to present the award for the Best Horror Film of 2007. The nominees are: 28 Weeks Later ![]() Fido ![]() Pan’s Labyrinth ![]() Grind House ![]() The film that wins this was my absolute favorite of the year. It had everything you wanted in a horror movie. Cheesy one liners, gore, guts, blood, nudity, action, craziness, and all out fun. In my opinion no film this year has come close to this in the horror genre. The winner is….. GRIND HOUSE!! ![]() Bringing back the grind house experience that was so well known in the late 60s and early 70s with all sorts of politically incorrect themes such as Black exploitation, Sex exploitation, Shock exploitation, Cannibal films, Zombie films, Slasher films, and much more. Interlaced with trailers for other movies in between them, Grind House was such a movie experience. Not a lot of people cared for Quentin Tarantino’s film Death Proof due to it’s dialogue but if they would have reversed the order of which they showed the films I am sure the critics and crowd would have liked it more. Robert Rodriguez’s Planet Terror was shown first and was an in your face, fast paced, sci-fi, horror, action flick with lots of laughs, gore, and fun. In between we got to see fake trailers directed by greats like Rob Zombie, Edgar Wright, Eli Roth, and Robert Rodriguez himself. After the trailers Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof played and it was just as great. Some of the best car chase sequences and action. And not to forget the death scene that just won an award for Most Memorable Mutilation at the Scream 2007 Awards. This movie is definitely the best horror flick of 2007!

The award for the best horror the decades had to give:
30's Dracula Frankenstein Freaks The Raven As you can see, plenty to talk about, from the presence of Dracula, the now iconic Frankenstein make-up, to the often controversial images of Freaks, but not let us forget the raven Each has something to offer but one, perhaps due to the subject and the director did stand out The winner, of the best horror of the 1930’s is FREAKS 40's Cat People Isle of the Dead The Body Snatchers The Wolf Man Again more classics, each a perfect example of its kind, however because of perhaps its story. Make-up effects and that uncontrollable image of pure animal instinct, there was one that does stand out from the rest: The winner of the best horror for the 40’s is THE WOLF MAN 50's Curse of Frankenstein Dracula (Hammer) Eyes without a Face House on Haunted Hill Invasion of the Body Snatchers Night of the Hunter The Blob The Thing Need I say again classics in their own right – but simply for the feeling of not being in cotrol, becoming paranoid at your neighbour one does stand out The winner for the 50’s is THE INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS 60's Eyes without a Face (?) Night of the living Dead Psycho Rosemary's Baby Sorry for repeating the words classic, but here we do indeed have one, infact it was so important that it may have changed the way the film industry was heading for: The winner for the best horror of the 60’s is NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD 70's Alien Dawn of the Dead Halloween Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Exorcist As the years progressed, so did the ideas And as you can see the jump was massive – there was thrills and chills, and again though this was 30 years ago, each one is still lauded over with each having their own magic to the screen Each is worthy of the award, but there is one, that especially this time of year, October is fondly remembered; Heralding a new icon of terror we have: The best horror of the 70’s HALLOWEEN 80's Day of the Dead Evil Dead Evil Dead 2 Friday the 13th Nightmare on Elm Street The Shining The Thing Maybe the audience were getting jaded by now, by the constant slasher movie and wanted more, not just to be scared, but amused, this came into fruition with the appearance of the 2 Evil Deads. For bringing gore with laughter The best horror of the 80’s is: EVIL DEAD 2 90's Army of Darkness - Evil Dead 3 Audition Blaade Dead Alive aka Brain Dead Jacob's Ladder Seven Silence of the Lambs Just as in the earlier decade, the audiences opinion changed, this time from straight forward frights and fun to perhaps something a little bit more darker and psychological, the 90’s gave this in abundance – to cannibal psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter to the “everyman” John Doe, bleak grunge horror was here. The best horror for the 90’s is SE7EN. 2000's 28 Weeks Later American Psycho Bug Dawn of the Dead Devil's Rejects Hannibal Session 9 Now we are upto date on our journey of the past, the thrills and chills that the silver screen has allowed us to peek, often with one eye open, scared but still not wanting to miss anything, cringing with the blood, only to give a sigh of relief at the finish, even laughing not only at the killers victims, but with the killers themselves, here we have our hero and a warning from the modern age of competition, be best at everything, including the kill, everything is me first, or Im better than you, simply because I wear better clothes, have a better job The winner of the 00’s is: AMERICAN PSYCHO
