-Michael Clayton...I was starting to forget why I liked Clooney, this one was a great reminder.

-Gone Baby Gone...Forgot why I liked Affleck a long time ago, another great reminder.

-30 Days of Night...Sadly, I'm gonna have to see it again. Major distractions which drove me outta the theatre after awhile.

The Brood

I think I finally found something that upset my wife.:D The eldest was a tad confused but we discussed the themes and he got it. Great film, my second favorite Cronenberg behind Videodrome.

8/10

The Brood is one of my favorite horror movies, period. It's so genuinely frightening and weird, and the atmosphere is thicker than hell.

You mean this scene? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITGRZTHtiEw
I hate that Rolly guy but that song does add even more WTF?? to a movie that's already full WTF?? moments! And some of the dialogue is just flat out funny ...

Schoolboy: Hey, let’s all kill ourselves!
Schoolgirl: Yeah! I’m in!
Schoolgirl #2: Not me.
Schoolboy #2: The Suicide Club.
Schoolgirl #3: Let’s get enough people to beat 54.
Schoolgirl #4: 100! Let’s get 100!
Schoolboy #2: We’ll pass out flyers! “Join our Suicide Club.”
Schoolboy #1: “Come die with us.”
Schoolgirl #2: “Let’s shed blood together.”
Schoolboy #1: But before that, we party. Lots of food and fornication

LMAO.

There is a sequel called Noriko's Dinner Table,I havn't seen it yet but I hear it's an equally curious piece ...
