If you get your hopes up too high, you will be disappointed. Better scale them way back now, then the film might be a pleasant surprise.
It's really just a slick, action-oriented comic book movie that seldom tries to be scary because it's too busy going "Wow, ain't it cool!" Sometimes it flirst with being silly - the vampires are less blood drinkers than blood-spillers, slashing people with their claws and letting the blood run everywhere. Rather wasteful in a town with a small population of possible blood donors. But hey, the director wasn't going to let good sense get in the way of those flashy shots of slashing claws.

yess 2 of the 3 of us seen this and it was awesome, the gore/violence .. i will go out on a line an say its the best violent/HORROR vampire movie ive seen in a while plus the concept is original enough to set it apart from others ,of all the other vampire movies out this is the only one i seen use the fact there are 30 days of night in alaska every year ... i'll most deff be buying this on DVD
