this is all strange shit to me; i was raised in a household without restrictions as to what i could watch, play, listen to and so far it hasn't caused any problems

none of my brothers or sisters really bother with any of that bullshit either

Yes but unfortunately not every household is like that... my cousin has 2 sons and is a freaking Nazi, she will not let them play super smash brothers because they fight in the game.... how stupid is that?

unfortunately some people can be way too conservative. I remember my friends mom wouldn't let us watch Power Rangers because she could "sense the devil in that show"

yeah... and you couldn't tell them that they had been bad, otherwise it may lead to severe mental scarring in the future.... man I want to slap her sometimes... the only thing that is going to leave them severely mentally scarred is her.

She did. The eldest, my friend. Became a missionary and is delivering bibles to third world countries. She never swears, never gets below a 90 on her school work and is studying to become a doctor so she can go over seas and make a difference.

The youngest, he rebelled. Football team, binge drinking, never gets above a 70 in his classes. it's sad either way really.
