I'm renting movies this weekend. I probably need to finally see Alien and Aliens... don't I?

I've always said this and never get any agreement. I heard so much about the movie, and when I saw it I was incredibly dissapointed. It is a lame movie. I don't get its cult status. Rocky Horror Picture Show? I get it. Donnie Darko? Hell yeah, for sure. Boondock Saints? Did I watch the right movie?!

Have you seen Overnight? It's the documentary about the director, Troy Duffy who hit the jackpot with his script sale and promptly assholed his way out of Hollywood. It's an amazing document of self-destruction and a cautionary tale for everyone who wants to make it in film.

XXX: State of the Union
Well, I never saw the first one because I knew it'd suck, but this was OnDemand for free & I didn't have anything else to watch this morning. It pretty much sucked. The acting was average, the plot was horrible, the action scenes were waaaay over the top and unbelievable and there were simply too many instances that just seemed all too convenient to the plotline. Pretty lame action film. It wasn't horrible, just well below average. D
