Most of the films are fine quality, for both picture and sound. A few are a bit messy, but the majority are great.

The films themselves are well worth the money aswell. There is definatly a few that are really, really bad, the the good movies more than make up for it.

Besides, you can get it for less than $20...thats 50 movies for the same price as one new release. Cant beat it.

I got it for five. I would, however agree about the occasional lapses in picture quality. Still. about two thirds of the fifty are good stuff, especially the John Barrymore Jekyll and Hyde.

I bought it a few days ago because of N.O.T.L.D. and Maniac (thought it had some sort of influence on the more recent 1980 film Maniac). So far those are the only two I've seen on it. Maniac was boring as hell, but of course N.O.T.L.D. is a very strong movie.

I Bury the Living is cool and The Crawling Eye, while a bit slow and silly, has a wonderfully strange creature design. Really goofy and worth watching.
