It's called "vote apathy".

It happens in the UK as well. Why vote for someone when you know they'll screw the country just as bad.

It's time for new blood, rather than vote for oldies. Just because the majority of candidates are old (ie over 50) doesn't make you any wiser - Bush for example.

I saw some of the carrying on yesterday with the mid-term vote - maybe you should vote a kid in a school play ground, at least they act their age.

I voted this afternoon. Just trying to do my part to get those pesky Republicans out of office.

-Looks Around- AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH.....AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa!!!!!

Sorry, but there are a few things that are going to make me say "no, I didn't vote and I don't".

1. I'm not old enough.

2. We don't decide who the President is or who any of the people who get into office are. The Electorial College decides, so basically, it is a pure waste of time that I could be doing something more productive with my life. I'm sorry, but it holds no interest for me. Not to mention that I'm neither a Democrat or Republican.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Neither am I, I do research and vote for who I think will do the best job, and voting does matter we chose the senators all that mumba jumba, which are then the "electoral votes" so technically we do. At least I think so

Um... we aren't votin for President this go 'round. And theres' a lot more on a ballot than people running for office.

Ballot measures are where YOU (when you're old enough) can affect the world in which you live.

I voted for the Libertarian candidate, just like I do in every election. I know, I pretty much throw my vote away. In my state gubernatorial election, it really doesn't matter who I vote for. The Republican is most definitely going to win every single time.

The libertarians have a few good ideas, but few people know who they are and they have a lot of kooks among them.

If I were them I'd throw everything into electing a representative in one of those Western states, maybe Nevada.

I voted. Not overly enthusiastic about any of the assholes I voted for, but if you don't vote then you have absolutely zero right to bitch about the outcome (or politics in general for that matter.) The only vote I cast happily was against our current Governor, Tim Pawlenty. Fuck that guy. I woulda voted for a turd sandwich over him. Notice, I wasn't overly thrilled to be voting for Mike Hatch, but I was thrilled to go against Pawlenty.
