coppola's Drac

no disrespect to sticky, I agree, but as a newbie, I just gotta say-
just watched the 92-? flick and all I can say is, while visually cool
and a good movie, I think he got Drac all wrong! where in the novel is Drac romantic or even endearing? that's not the Lord of Vamps that I know. Feedback?

It was just his version. Different directors have their own versions...Phantom of the Opera, Frankenstein, werewolves, zombies ect. ect. They all have numerous versions done by numerous directors with their own touch put on it.

I loved this version. I thought it was visually blinding, and Oldman was pretty convincing as Dracula.

Oh yeah, welcome to Frank Drake.

I don't know about this one. The first time I watched it, I loved it. I recently watched it again, and I was a little bored. I think it's mostly a bit of eye candy.

Nothing beats Browning's.

P.S. Next time, frank, stick this in the "Modern Horror Movies" thread.

It has Persephone from the last 2 matrix movies topless. Just an observation.

I loved Gary Oldman as Dracula. He did a great job.
Plus he's hot.

He did do an amazing job portraying the wounded side of Dracula. He did over-do it a bit sometimes, but overall, he did an amazing job.

This is still my favourite filmatization of this classic horror book.
