hehehe, the movie is not really about a submarine, They just use it in the begining to reach the research center or whatever, since it was located under the ice, the only way to reach it was with a submarine. well it made sence to me then anyway.
And it is not a "hidden world" they find, it is a man buildt construction. Not "boa" this one is from the eightes, or earlier.

Yes! thanks alot! this is definitely the one. I found the Swedish name for it.
The movie "the Abyss" is called "avgrunden" wich means just 'abyss' or 'chasm'. and "the rift" is called "sprickan till avgrunden" meaning sort of "the crack to the abyss" Now when i know the name of it, it will probably be easier to find. I surely will be dissapointed when I see it as any other movie not seen in about 20 years, but now I just must see it. Thanks again!

Uh....I thought I might as well mention, the last time I saw this was the first time, and that was in 1990 with some friends. And.....there was a lot of stupid stuff in it mixed in with the fun stuff. Careful there!
