				Cape Fear

not a horror movie, i know, but it was definetly an intense film. Robert DeNiro was great. what did everyone who saw it think of it? the end scene was freaking rediculous btw.

One of my favorite movies of all time.... That's right I said it. I loved this movie when I first saw it. It had me jumping at that one scene. You know what I am talking about! DeNiro is awesome in this movie. One sick mutha#$@!#. Have you seen the original of Cape Fear? I think the remake did the original justice.

I didnt really understand Heat that much..the entire movie felt like it was a bunch of scenes just put together that didnt have to do with eachother.

Pretty much the last time DeNiro was good in anything IMO. Kind of a last hurrah to all those urban psycho parts. But I thought this was better than the original. Scorcese kept a much better pace on the film, and Nolte, Lange and Lewis were a much more sympathetic family than the original one had. And a nice bit by Joe Don Baker as a good ol' boy PI, and cameos by some of the originals- Mitchum, Peck and Balsam- gave it a little fun to break up the intensity. The best part is that Scorcese used the original Bernard Herrmann score, and had Saul Bass create the title credits. |
