Don't feel so bad, it was my favorite too.....when I was young the other ones didn't even compare to it. Obviously now I don't think that much of it but it's still a decent movie.

At one time, Del Toro was attached to direct this. I think he has since left the project. Don't know for sure. It would have been in safe hands had he directed it though.
