Teenager Stabs Mom 111 Times...Ironically, Mom Was A Psychologist
Autopsy: Rochester Hills Woman Stabbed 111 Times
Investigators Recover Pipe Bomb, Knives From Home Pontiac, Michigan -- Autopsy results were revealed Tuesday morning in the investigation into the stabbing death of a Rochester Hills doctor. Diane Michele, a 50-year-old psychologist, was found dead in her home in the 3000 block of Palm Aire Drive on Monday morning. She suffered 111 stab wounds and blunt force trauma, according to the Oakland County Medical Examiner. The woman's 15-year-old son, Christopher Dankovich, a freshman at Rochester Adams High School, was taken into custody Monday afternoon at the family's cabin in Roscommon County, in northern lower Michigan. He was flown back to Oakland County by a sheriff's department helicopter and is expected to be charged as an adult at his arraignment in district court in Rochester Hills at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, the station reported. Oakland County Prosecutor David Gorcyca said the teen had apparently threatened his mother a few days before her death. "We're going to look into the psychological background and hopefully learn more about what got into a 15-year-old mind such that the rage and hatred that he committed and perpetrated on his mother, right up to the point of stabbing her in the face and in the eyes," said Gorcyca. "There are some deep-seeded psychological problems here that we have to get to the bottom of." Investigators said some recent arguments between Dankovich and his mother may have stemmed from Internet pornography that was found on a computer in the family's home, the station reported. Gorcyca said investigators recovered homemade weapons from the home, including a pipe bomb and some knives.
