Goose Kicks Bobcat's Ass...TWICE
Caught On Tape: Goose Wins Fight With Bobcat
Goose Owner: 'I Was Very Surprised' Officials with the California Department of Fish and Game were shocked to see a farmer's surveillance video of a pet goose fighting off a bobcat several times, according to Local 6 News. Fred Painter of Sonora, Calif., said he installed a surveillance camera on his property after nine pet ducks, four chickens, 2 geese and other animals kept disappearing. When Painter looked at the videotape the next morning, he saw his pet goose fending off a bobcat. "The goose fought him off," Painter said. "I was very surprised." An hour after the initial attack, the bobcat was seen reappearing in the video and attempting to attack the goose. Again, the goose was able to fend off the attack. "This goes against everything I've ever been trained about bobcats," Department of Fish and Game spokesman Patrick Foy said. "Bobcats, next to wolverines are probably the fiercest animal pound-for-pound in California. They are absolutely ferocious." Painter reportedly plans to continue protecting his animals. "When I hear a noise, I come down running with a spotlight and a shotgun," Painter said.

pretty cool. but i dont think that would continue
its just like any other animal. i dont think bobcats would run into geese in the wild. that is a big goose, the sound is startling and like any other animal, it will try to make itself appear bigger, as it did by spreading its wings. if the bob cat continues to snoop around, eventualyl he will become brave enough and realize that goose got nothin.. then the goose is gone...... still, a cool vid though LOL even wierder? anyone ever seen the lioness that keeps adopting an oryx??? (like an antelope). anyways, shes adopted 3 so far. but everytime the male of the pride kills it while she sleeps :( first http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/an...00/1747349.stm 2nd http://www.takeawalkonthewildside.net/lioness.html 3rd http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/an...00/1906661.stm "A lioness in Kenya has amazed animal experts by adopting her third baby oryx in as many months. An oryx - a type of small antelope - would normally be a tasty meal for a lion, but this lioness has taken to looking after them as if they were her own. The first baby oryx was spotted in the care of lioness last December, but it was eaten by other lions after a few weeks. Another oryx calf was taken away from her in February and put in a zoo because it looked like it might starve. Now she's adopted a third baby in the wildlife park. The chief game warden said: "We are baffled. We do not know what to do with this third oryx." Very protective The lioness is said to be very protective of her new baby, becoming very angry if a human tries to go near. Three adult oryxes have been seen near the unlikely pair - one of which is believed to be the calf's mother. " pretty crazy!
