Damn kids and their damn internet and damn IPods and suches...

I own no vinyls myself, and the few I DID have my dad stole after him and my mom split when I was younger.

I NEED one of those! I have tons of albums, 7-inches and 45s that have been collecting dust since my last turntable went tits-up.

Of course all you REALLY need to record your albums onto your computer, if you already have a turntable, is a patch chord you can get at Radio Shack to run from the line out on your turntable into the line in on your soundcard. Any wav editor will do the recording & editing. This is what I did for years until the needle finally wore out on my turntable and it started to develop some timing issues. Rather than get it fixed I bought a usb turntable. This is the model I opted for a few months ago:

I love this Crosley turntable for its "old-school" styling- it looks and feels just like a record player from the 50s. Unlike most USB turntables it also plays 78s, a feature that's indispensible for me since I actually own 78 rpm vinyl.

So that's me- lover of vintage horror, vintage vinyl and vintage styling.

^^ Thats really cool it plays 78 rpm vinyl. I found a few really cool 78s in a junk store over here but didn't bother buying them because I had nothing to play 'em on.

The Crosley unit is only $149, and it's every bit equal to the flimsy plastic ION TT.
