According to the people at Cinema Confidential, "Gothika" won't be in theaters in on October 2 as previously scheduled. Instead, the movie's release has been moved a full month to November 23. Though the studio hasn't given a reason for the move, there's speculation that it's an attempt to promote the ghost thriller as a "non-horror" movie.

In "Gothika", Halle Berry plays a criminal psychologist who wakes up in an asylum accused of the murder of her husband. Supernatural elements come into play as she struggles to find out what really happened. Penelope Cruz and Robert Downey, Jr. also star.
