Still recovering from receiving his honorary National Book Award, author Stephen King was hit with another less pleasant experience: pneumonia. He was diagnosed with pneumonia in his right lung before the awards dinner, but his condition has worsened as the illness crept into his other lung as well. On Sunday, the doctors removed some of the fluid and lung tissue from his right lung.

He's said to be in good spirits and recovering. He's requested that no one send flowers, and no visitors except for his immediate family.
