Halloween is right around the corner and pretty soon we’ll be seeing plenty of vampires and zombies take to the streets in their quest for human brains and blood…uhm, I mean, candy. While vampires are in the spotlight with the popularity of the Twilight series, Zombies have been the cult favorite for years now. Starz explores the evolution of the movie zombie - from early films to its present role as a pop culture icon.
Starz Inside: Zombiemania (premiering Tuesday, October 13 at 10:00 p.m. on Starz) is a fun look at the Zombie craze around the world. Featuring clips from a vast library of Zombie films and Zombie experts, including the “grandfather of Zombie films” George A. Romero and best-selling author Max Brooks. The documentary traces the evolution of the Zombie from its roots in African folklore and Haitian Voodoo to its current role as pop culture icon.
