Louisiana horror fans, take note: the place to be next week is New Orleans. From October 26 through November 1, the New Orleans Media Experience will celebrate culture with panel discussions, concerts, parties, and many, many fine film screenings.
The day starts off with breakfast screenings of Hammer Films classics starting at 10 am every day. Some of the classic low-budget fright flicks shown are "The Abominable Snowman", " Quatermass and the Pit", and "Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde".
Before bed, enjoy a nightcap of dreamy, surreal Mario Bava horror - "Kidnapped", "Baron Blood", or "Black Sabbath". The Italian horror director's work and its influence on the horror and sci-fi film genres will be discussed in the panel discussions.
If you're interested in being a part of the Experience, see the New Orleans Media Experience website for more information.
