A while back, it was announced [1] that Marvel Comic's cult monster superhero was oozing towad the big screen. This week, they've actually given a release date. The movie version of "Man-Thing" will hit theaters nationwide on August 27, 2004.

They've wrapped up eight weeks of filming ahead of schedule and are moving into post-production. "Man-Thing" is directed by Brett Leonard ("Virtuosity), and stars Jack Thompson, Rawiri Paratene, and Matt Le Nevez.

In other news, Marvel Studios has released an eerie poster [2] for the movie.
