With "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" opening at #1, producer Mike Fleiss and director Marcus Nispel are already at work on more horror projects. Mike Fleiss confirmed to Variety that he and Nispel were already working on a sequel to their remake of "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". There have been whispers from other sources that the sequel may actually be a prequel. Will it will cover what happened to the hitchhiker, or will it go back even further to show us the history behind the murderous family? No details yet, but we'll let you know as we hear more.
Fleiss is also working on a movie based on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde story. Steve Niles ("30 Days of Nights") is writing the story, which is described by Variety as a "high-concept comedy".
