Columbia Pictures is talking to director/writer Neil Jordan about rewriting and directing "Me and My Monster". The film is the story of a young boy who befriends a mysterious creature, and how that friendship affects the boy's life as he grows up.
Neil Jordan directed Anne Rice's 1994 movie "Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles", based on her novel of the same name. He also wrote and directed "The Crying Game", "Michael Collins", and "The Good Thief". He's currently at work on a project titled "Untitled Neil Jordan Thriller" with screenwriter Ann Biderman ("Primal Fear", "Copycat").
Special effects master Stan Winston - whose work is seen in dozens of films, including "Terminator", "Batman", and "The Thing" - is producing "Me and My Monster" with Laura Ziskin. No dates or casting info is available yet, but we'll keep you posted.
