The Dario Argento fansite Dark Dreams has announced that Medusa will be releasing his 1985 horror thriller "Phenomena" to DVD. There's disappointment because the DVD will be a full frame transfer rather than a more accurate letterbox. The DVD won' be dubbed in English (thankfully!), but will include optional English & Italian subtitles.

"Phenomena" stars a young Jennifer Connelly as the daughter of a famous actor who is staying is a boarding school near a criminal sanitarium. She has an ability to communicate with insects. When students are murdered, the girl's ability may be what it takes to find the killer. The movie also stars the omnipresent Donald Pleasence as a professor and Asia Argento's older half-sister, Fiore.

"Phenomena" on DVD will be released in November, so check your DVD stores.
