Brandon Camp and Mike Thompson were coffee gofers until they wrote and sold "Dragonfly", the story of a widower doctor (played by Kevin Costner) who is contacted by his dead wife through his patient's near-death experiences. For the last year, they've been at work on the television "John Doe".

With "John Doe" not returning this fall, the duo's big screen hiatus is set to end. Columbia has bought the spec script to the tentatively titled "911". The movie follows a 911 operator who begins to receiving emergency calls about murders 24 hours before they occur. A detective helps the frazzled operator piece together the mystery.

No word as to when Columbia will turn the "911" script into film, but with horror and suspense films as popular as they are, they'd be wise to get this project on the front burner.
