The parking area around Gallatin’s Civic Center Saturday morning looked nothing like a typical day as bodies were lined up with blood coming from wounds and bruises.

These persons, however, were alive and all their injuries were artfully applied with make-up.

Residents from all over Middle Tennessee began coming to Gallatin’s Civic Center before 7 a.m. Saturday to stand in one line after another for the chance to be a part of “The Shelter,” an independent movie filming scenes in Gallatin throughout July.

The director, George Demick, has directed the horror films “Asylum of Terror” and “Demon Sight" and started out in the industry as an apprentice to Director George A. Romero.
