In a series of one-shots to be published by SUMM Publications, Theodore D. Vincenzo recounts the eerie tales he was too afraid to publish during a journalism career that spanned four decades.

"The paranormal and supernatural have always been a fascination to me. I never believed we were alone, and the events I have witnessed these 25 years has proven it," said Vincenzo.

Ill Conceived, a 28-page one-shot, is the first title to be released in May 2004.

From the back cover:

In the wilds of a New England forest an unearthly group of beings provides the opportunity of a lifetime to Bridgette McCoy.

A chance at motherhood.

Ill Conceived is the tale of Bridgette, a young woman longing to become a mother, living with an older husband who is content with his trophy wife. When Bridgette suffers an emergency hysterectomy, Jack thinks that's the end of it. But soon he will discover the secret behind his wife's depression, and an alien conspiracy against the whole of mankind.

Having covered the Vietnam conflict and the first Gulf War, Vincenzo has been an eyewitness to the greatest world events of the last half-century. Though his news stories often received front-page headlines, the real stories have yet to be published. It is Vincenzo's quest to seek the unknown, and share it that has lead to his merger with writer/ publisher T.J. May and SUMM Publications.

"Over the last five years my partner (Jason May) and I have been trying to build our own publishing house. We were looking for a unique slant when Theodore's name came our way," says May.

The May brothers' were skeptical about the validity of Vincenzo's stories. But, after several meetings with the journalist they decided that, if nothing else, the stories were interesting. Conversely, Vincenzo became convinced the comic book format was the best vehicle for his stories, and that SUMM was the right company to go with.

"As we got to know Theodore we really took a liking to his stories. They have all the stuff of great comics. It was only after we got started on the first few stories that Jason and I started to think that maybe this guy was for real. That maybe this stuff did happen," said May.

Now in his 50s, and forced into retirement due to a disability he suffers from exposure to Agent Orange, Vincenzo wants to clear his mind.

"I have done my duty to my family and my country. Now, for my own piece of mind I need to let these stories out. T.J. is doing an excellent job capturing the events that took place. The artists he's hired are phenomenal. I have no doubt this series will be successful," said Vincenzo.
