About CRYPTSHOW

This is a Film Festival specialized in Fantasy and Horror films. We are one of a kind on the city of Barcelona and our intention is the divulgation and support of the fantasy genre, mainly in its short film form with an Official competition section, but also in literature, painting, comic books, music, etc.

For the last two years, we have introduced feature films out of competition of respected authors working in Fantasy and Horror and we are very happy by the great response of the public that is increasing year by year; this year we want to continue in this line of work and include more features. First year we screened “Jack Brook’s Monster Slayer” or “Akumu tantei” for example and Shinya Tsukamoto was awarded with a special prize for his career, and last year we premiered "Chemichal wedding" in Spain and we have the presence of Julian Doyle in the festival, who received an award for all his career, we also screened "Rovdyr" and the classic "The last man on earth" together with six more features.  We were also very grateful for the help received by public institutions and other festivals specialized in Fantasy (national and international).

The festival will take place between the 14th and 17th of July.
