New "A Nightmare on Elm Street" 2010 Trailer Unsheathed!

Here it is! The brand new trailer from A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010. Krueger's voice is revealed... and he sounds a lot like Rorschach from Watchmen. Shouldn't be surprising, considering the source  -- actor Jackie Earle Haley plays both remorseless villains -- but to me, it's a little disconcerting.

I love what JEH did with the Rorschach character, so I'd have preferred this tone, inflection and timbre be saved for use with that character only. He could have come up with something different for Freddy (maybe a Bollywood accent? ...kidding!). Rorschach was new on film for the first time, while Freddy is established (by originator Robert Englund, whose voice is a lot deeper and stronger), so it seems it could have been doable.

I will reserve judgement until I see the performance in its entirely, but I'm wondering what you guys think? [Staci Layne Wilson]
