Film studio options Stephen King short story for feature film.
Miramax's Dimension Films has cut a deal to turn Stephen King's short story "1408" into a full-length feature movie. Screenwriter Matt Greenberg ("Halloween 9", "The Prophecy 2") has been chosen to turn the story into a screenplay. The director for the project hasn't been announced.
The short story is about a horror writer who gets a taste of his own frightening medicine during a stay at a hotel in room 1408. It originally appeared in King's audiobook "Blood and Smoke", but was later included in the print collection "Everything's Eventual".

Thats great news the short story was one of King's best especially since he has not been writing his best stuff since his accident. I would say that this movie will be very like The Shinning. Its very atmospheric. | |
