Sam Raimi fans rejoice, then get yourself over to the SxSW Film Conference and Festival. Originally a music conference, the event's movie section has grown since its addition in 1994. This year's event promises lots of goodies for horror and indie movie fans.

From Friday, March 13 through Saturday, March 21 in Austin, Texas, the festival will offer movie screening as well as panels and discussions focussing on new and provocative films.

Evil Dead director Sam Raimi will be there, offering a sneak peek of his work-in-progress Drag Me to Hell, a tale of mysterious curse afflicting a young loan officer. Silence of the Lambs helmer Jonathan Demme will preview Neil Young Trunk Show, a documentary on the sixties icon.

If you're attending SxSW, you might also want to check out Fantastic Fest at Midnight, the latest addition to the SxSW schedule. The showcase, starting at Midnight, will offer independent horror, sci-fi, fantasy, and other genre movies.

The full SxSW movie schedule and attendee information can be found at the SxSW 2009 website.
