Born in New York City, USA in 1971 of Italian parents with connections to the world of stage and opera, Coralina Cataldi-Tassoni and her parents moved to Rome, Italy when she was four years old. Around that time, she began performing on stage in various plays and opera through her childhood in Italy and abroad. While still in her teens, she has had the pleasure of working with some of the finest Italian horror movie directors of the modern age. Her first movie role was playing the snotty, not-so-sweet-sixteen, birthday girl, Sally, who turns into a demon in Dèmoni 2: L'incubo ritorna (1986) (Demons 2), which she landed courtesy of the famed director Dario Argento who served as one of the producers. She also worked with Argento again shortly afterwords in a minor role in Opera (1987) in playing the seamstress Giulia, as well as the Argento re-telling of Fantasma dell'opera, Il (1998) (Phantom of the Opera) which starred Julian Sands and Asia Argento. In between Opera and Phantom of the Opera, Coralina hosted the short-lived Giallo TV show with Dario Argento, which played for Italian television. She also worked with director Luciano Odorsio in 'Sacrilege' (1986) and also appeared in Fabrizio Laurenti's 'Room Next Door' and Pupi Avati's 'The Childhood Fiend'. She has appeared in various TV productions in Italy, and on stage in several theater productions in both Italy and America, including Grease and an adoption of Ed Wood's Bride and the Beast. She is also an accomplished painter as well as a singer. She released her first musical album in 2005, entitled Limbo Balloon. It is made up of original music which she wrote and sang. In 2006, she re-teamed with Lamberto Bava for Ghost Son, and the following year, joined the cast of Dario Argento's Mother of Tears.
