Dimension To Remake "Evil Words"

Add one more movie to the horror remake craze bin. Montreal producer Nicole Robert has sold the remake rights to "Sur le seuil" ("Evil Words"), the French-language horror film based on Patrick Sénécal's 1998 novel. The movie - the first locally-produced French-language horror movie in Quebec (as reported previously on Horror.com) - was released the first week of October, and has already received attention from studios and critics.

The original movie revolves around a horror novelist (played by comic/actor Patrick Huard) who chops of the ends of his fingers in an attempt to stop himself from writing. Michel Côté, one of Quebec's most popular actors, stars as a jaded psychiatrist whose world is turned upside-down by the writer. No word yet as to who will direct or star in the remake.
