Magazine columns, new miniseries, editing and having a family have sapped best-selling horror author Stephen King's time. His schedule is so tight that he's postponed his plans to teach writing over the Internet.

Last November, best-selling horror author Stephen King announced he'd like to teach a course in writing to Maine seventh- and eighth-graders. The interactive would be taught online, and was geared toward increasing both computer and writing literacy among the 36,000 Maine students by putting a laptop in their hands.

Though the class won't start as soon as planned, the idea hasn't been nixed. King's people say it'll be another year or so before his schedule is clear enough to take on the class.
