"Punisher" Filming Ends; New Poster Out

After 11 weeks on location in Florida, filming on "The Punisher" has been completed, according to Artisan Entertainment. The movie presumably now moves into post-production and is on the way to theaters by April 16, 2004.

"The Punisher" is based on the Marvel Comics hero, G-Man Frank Castle who loses his wife & kids and vows to rid America of evil. The screenplay is written by Marvel Comics' "Punisher" creator Gerry Conway and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh ("Die Hard 3", "Armageddon"). Thomas Jane ("Dreamcatcher") plays the starring role. while John Travolta takes on the role of Castle's nemesis Howard Saint.

In other "Punisher" news, Cinema Confidential has posted a >new poster image for the movie. This one features Thomas Jane looking badass holding two guns John Woo-style above the Punisher signature skull logo.
