BENEFITING DONATE LIFE AMERICA
Featuring Performances by Alex Band, Eve 6 and more!
Richmond, VA., October 12, 2007 – An evening of music, laughter and inspiration awaits you on Friday, October 26th as “Alex Band’s Donate Life Rocks” comes to Hollywood. Head to Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, Ca. for an unforgettable evening to benefit Donate Life America, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring all people to save and enhance lives through organ, eye and tissue donation. The event, hosted by emcees Richard Blade, Robbie Robfogel (liver recipient) and Diana DeVille of KNAC.com, will feature a variety of talent including:
• Alex Band – Geffen recording artist from the rock band The Calling (“Wherever You Will Go” and “Our Lives”). Currently releasing his first solo album.
• Constantine Maroulis – “American Idol” sixth-place finalist in 2005. Starred in Broadway’s The Wedding Singer and CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful. Recently released self-titled solo debut album.
• Shane Hines and The Trance – Emerging artists currently touring to promote new album Zoe.
• Keaton Simons – Emerging artist recently signed to CBS Records, finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, recently toured with singer Josh Kelley.
• Eve 6 – Newly reunited, multi-platinum, alternative rock trio known for the smash hits “Inside Out” and “Here’s to the Night.”
• Metal Knights – Hard rock tribute band to the great British metal bands of the 80s, covering songs from Judas Priest, UFO, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Ozzy Osbourne and more. Will feature special appearance by Pamela Moore of Queensryche fame.
• Johny Bullet – Emerging musical talent, known for his instrumental prowess and dynamic musical expression.
• Hearing Red – Lead singer is actor Erik Palladino of NBC’s “ER.”
• Beau Black – Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Black began his career performing with his father, Jay Black of Jay and the Americans. Inspired by the sounds of the Beatles, Steely Dan and David Bowie, Beau's love for this music triggered a passion for writing songs, and he has been honing his craft since age 12.
• Don Mancini – Writer, director, producer and creator of the Child’s Play franchise, will receive the first “Quiet Giant” award given by Donate Life America.
