Horror-blood for "Heroes" Origins

Heroes: Origins, the 2008 spinoff of NBC's hit drama, has snapped up horror directors Eli Roth (Hostel 1 and 2) and Michael Dougherty (Trick 'r Treat) to write and possibly direct episodes. Kevin Smith is another autuer ready to take a crack at the series.

The six-episode Heroes: Origins will begin airing in the spring, after the regular series first-run has ended, and will concentrate on characters not previously seen on the show.

The Season Two premiere of Heroes airs on ABC tonight.
