TORONTO (April 26, 2007) - THINKFilm has acquired all North American rights to The Killing Floor, a slick thriller set in the high stakes literary world of Manhattan starring Marc Blucas (Upcoming The Jane Austen Book Club,

Thr3e) and Shiri Appleby ("Six Degrees," "Roswell"). The Killing Floor had its U.S. debut at the 2007 Malibu International Film Festival where it was awarded "Best Thriller."  The Killing Floor marks the directorial debut for writer/director Gideon Raff.  The deal was announced by Marc Hirshberg, COO of THINKFilm, with a DVD release planned for the fourth quarter of 2008.

"Writer/director Gideon Raff [pictured] has crafted an intense psychological thriller for his directorial debut."  says Hirshberg.  "He's definitely an artist to keep your eyes on, and THINKFilm is proud to have begun this relationship early in what is sure to be a long and successful career."

The Killing Floor centers on a literary agent, played by Blucas, who moves into a coveted penthouse apartment. Once settled, he begins receiving violent crime scene photographs that appear to have been taken in the apartment followed by stalker videotapes that document his every move.

Also appearing in the thriller is Reiko Aylesworth (Mr. Brooks, "24"), John Bedford Lloyd (The Hoax, "Law & Order") and Derek Cecil (Upcoming Frank the Rat, "Masters of Horror").  The film is executive produced by Avi Arad (Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Spider-Man 3, Ghost Rider) and Doug Liman (The Bourne Supremacy, "The O.C.," The Bourne Identity), and was co-written by Ryan Swanson.
