"The Zodiac" opens in theaters this weekend. Based on the true story of a serial killer who terrorized Northern California, the film is more of a horror-thriller-drama rather than a straight blood and guts horror film.
While this may not be the first (or last) film to take its inspiration from a true serial killer story, The Zodiac tries to stand apart from the crowd.
