Running Scared

This was pretty good but not as good as it hyped itself to be. "Running Scared makes Kill Bill look like Sesame Street." HA! Not quite. There were some cool scenes, but it dragged too. This doesn't come close to Kill Bill, so they really should have stayed away from that comparison, but it was alright.

American Wedding

Excluding Band Camp, this is the worst of the American Pie movies. The Stifler character changed from more of a popular dickhead to a semi-retarded reject, which wasn't neccesarily a change for the better or the funnier. I didn't miss Chris Klein or Tara Reid or anyone else, but the franchise justs seems to have run out of gas.

Happy Gilmore

Ahhh. Adam Sandler at his finest. This was an instant classic, as well as being very widely quoted, and it's for good reason too. It's still funny throughout and there's lots of guest appearances from comedians who have since come in to their own.

You really didn't think "Running Scared makes Kill Bill look like Sesame Street." rang through? The intensity of scenes is what it is referring to, not the directing/acting, or even story or effects. Just the intensity. The atmosphere. You have to admit it did have a gloomy atmosphere going for it, one which definately wasn't present in Kill Bill.

i held off myself but when i finally saw it - i'd be lying if i said i didnt enjoy it.

Yeh I agree with you on that. My girlfriend at the time got this out and I was "oh fuck here we go :rolleyes: but I ended up really enjoying it. It had really likable characters and was well acted.... sure it had all the cliches these type of films have but whatever. Not something I'd buy but I'll definatley watch it again if its on TV or if another pretty girl lures me into the realm of romantic flicks :) shit...... I even watched Dirty Dancing with that lady (I'd like that hour and a half of my life back :mad: ).

Im watching the shitty Anaconda sequel right now. Its so exciting I jumped on the computer :)

and for the record the Breakfast Club is a solid 10/10 for me. I love that film and have lost count of the times I've seen it. John Bender was a very bad influence on me :D

Nope. Not even close. Intensity, action, violence or otherwise, Kill Bill owned Running Scared. That movie had no business making any comparison between itself and KB. If they were only talking about one specific thing, then they should have specified instead of just making a blanket statement because the way it comes across in their ad is that "this movie is more kick ass than Kill Bill!" and that's just not accurate.

Yawn. This movie was one corny scene after another until we mercifully reached the end. I wasn't impressed or entertained. There are better movies about firefighters out there than this one.

I have never played this video game so I didn't really know what to expect but there was a decent amount of gore and the plot was fairly engaging. All in all, this seemed like one of the better game-to-film adaptations around, but that's not to say this is a groundbreaking vampire film or anything. Better than I expected, but still not great...

The Eye

This was a very atmospheric, creepy thriller. I realize it's not Japanese, but it's still going to draw comparisons to Ju-On & Ringu because it's an asian ghost story, so let me cut right to the chase and say I liked this a lot better than I liked either of those films. Well acted and just an overall cool feel to this film.
