RESULTS OF THE HUNTING SEASON OUTING #6


The Gates were opened to let the contestants back in. And in they came and how! Tired, scratched from head to toe, some clothed in tatters, and some missing.

SOME MISSING?!

A quick head count revealed that ONE Carnage Knight is indeed missing, as well as ONE Diablo Slayer!!

The medics team rushed into The Zone, while we activate the Spycams and rewind to what actually happened inside...

WHAT HAPPENED INSIDE THE ZONE


As soon as the unarmed Carnage Knights were released into the Zone, RAYNE went to DESPARE.

"I am pretty sure they will be targetting either you or me. Chances are they will be gunning for you more. Here," Rayne took her HP bag out and extended it forward,"you better keep this."

Despare looked at her and shook his head. "And leave you totally open and vulnerable? No way!"

Rayne sighed. "Look, the way I figure, if they come after me then I ll always get the other gifted HPs from our team anyway. Plus, you ll look after me too. But if they come after you and I m not around, then you will be a sitting duck."

Despare rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Ok I ll take it. But on one condition. We stick together through this."

Rayne smiled weakly. "If thats how you like this, then okay."

Pretty soon they all dispersed, and the Diablo Slayers came running in. They whispered amongst themselves, and moved out into their respective sectors.


SECTOR A:

NEVERENDING moved forward, cautiously. Not even one bird stirred in the trees, and NE felt a faint foreboding of immense danger for some reason. Soon he came across some tracks. He followed them through the trees, and looked forward. Rayne and Despare were sitting behind a huge rock, apparently resting from a long walk. NE kneeled and pulled his Grenade Launcher up.

THUNK!! THUNK!!

Both grenades flew through the air and landed right in front of Despare almost instantenously. Despare didnt even have a moment to think, let alone duck or dodge, and both grenades blasted right in his face.

BAM!! BAM!!

Despare fell backwards, the skin of his face and hands almost burned out and chapped. Wounds gaped open on them. Rayne whirled towards him and grabbed his HPs quickly to heal him rightaway.

NE licked his lips in apparent satisfaction. He looked around and spotted DEMON SEED. He let out a low whistle and DS turned. NE jerked his head towards where Rayne was tending to Despare. DS nodded, and moved in that direction. He came out of the bushes, and lifted his Grenade Launcher.

THUNK!! THUNK!!

Rayne heard the grenades whistle through the air, and ducked away behind the rock. Both grenades landed squarely in front of Despare, who was still groaning from his earlier wounds. He did not stand a chance.

BAM!! BAM!!

Both grenades exploded, lifting Despare in the air by their sheer impact. Despare flew behind, a tree breaking his flying, and he landed heavily on its base, bleeding profusely from all his wounds. Rayne ran to him and opened some more of his HPs, as DS dropped his empty Grenade Launcher and winked at NE.

This sector is not safe, Rayne thought grimly as she tended to Despare. We have to move to somewhere else.

A pair of gleaming eyes peered at them from a distance.
