1) Stay Alive. Besides like the fact that alot of the facts about countess Elizabeth Bathory were off, It was a pretty decent movie.

2) The Hills Have Eyes. It was hillarious. I'm almost positive it wasn't supposed to be, but it was. :D

The Funhouse (aka Carnival of Terror)

Tobe Hooper, what were you thinking? You can't follow up TCM and Salem's Lot with a piece of crap like this and expect it to hold up. Funhouse would have been an average slasher flick had it not come from one of my favorite horror directors of all time! Instead of being average though, I actually held out some hope for it and wound up being immensely dissappointed. The gore wasn't very good, the acting was just okay, and the plot straight up sucked!

If you are a diehard Tobe Hooper fan, then you're gonna see this no matter what but for everyone else, don't be afraid you're missing anything if you skip it.

edit : stupid me...posted without replying.

i have 2 little brothers, and a little sister, all under 10, whom i consider my own. i practically raised them. and the subject of the film really hits close to home for me as i've mentioned on the board before. but there is nothing graphic in the movie at all. nothing is shown.

it's difficult because it puts a human face on what we consider a monster, but it really should be seen. kevin bacon does an incredible job portarying this man, and really deserves more recognition for the role.

I was wondering what happened to Kevin Bacon. I'm going to have to pick up The Woodsman shortly. Thanks hellfire!

Sound of Thunder--even though the FX ran from not-to-good to abysmal and Ed Burns has NO range as an actor this was a fun watch. At almost two hours it went at a good clip.

So let me get this straight:

You liked Stay Alive, a PG-13 movie about a video game that's "for real"...but you think Hills Have Eyes was laughable?

Something is so terribly wrong here.
