Well, let's see... Assassins had to bring in reinforcements to even get anything done. That really says a lot for their team.

Austin- very sorry to see you go. You were the backbone of our team.

However- we survive. And, as Bwind said- we learned a lot this outing.

They waved back one final time to the Assassins, and looked at ___V___.

"You sure you dont wanna stay? You could be some kickass reps for the Assassins' team."

"It was fun while it lasted, bud," Newb replied, "if I didnt have so much on my hands right now I would have stayed."

___V___ looked at Hammerfan.

"A lot is happening in my life right now too," she replies back to his questioning look."Wish I was more free. Like Newb said, it was fun while it lasted. Besides, I got to shake off some of my rust through that target practice," she grinned.

"Okay, I wont stop you then," ___V___ replied and took a couple steps back.

Newb eased Hammerfan into the chopper, and jumped in. Both of them looked out and waved at ___V___.

___V___ mouthed a "Thank You" at them, and waved back with a smile.

The chopper soon lifted, and flew eastwards across the ocean.

I wish I could say I'll miss the two of you. Ouch.

NEWB broke through the bushes and looked around. He was given explicit instructions and licked his lips in anticipation. There is nothing like a good kickass hunt with plenty of beer thrown in the equation, he thought. He took a long swig from the small bottle he carried with himself and moved forward.

He noticed some tracks going forward and followed them. The tracks disappeared near the trunk of a large tree and Newb stopped, all senses on the alert. He looked around keenly and spotted nothing.

Just then, he heard a branch creak above him.

He looked up instantly, and spotted his target. DOC FAUSTUS!!

Doc froze for an instant as he looked back at Newb. He tried to turn around, but Newb jumped upwards and did a flip in mid-air, landing on the branches just below Doc.

"Hiya, Doc. They call me Newb," he winked at Doc and started shooting.

BLAM!! BLAM!!

Both shells caught Doc off-guard, and thundered into his belly. Doc fell forward, and Newb jumped right over him, somersaulting and flipping forward, and aiming directly at Doc in mid-air.

BLAM!! BLAM!!

BLAM!! BLAM!!

All 4 shells thumped into Doc's body before it even hit the ground. Doc fell down heavily on a clump of bushes, letting out a huge groan as the blood poured out. Newb landed right beside him and looked down.

"What do you think of Newb law, Doc?," Newb asked with a wide, wicked grin.

Doc turned around and crawled into the bushes, taking his HPs out quietly.


Newb whirled around, and winked towards his left. HAMMERFAN came forward, and looked at him questioningly.

"He went through the bushes over there," Newb gestured carelessly forward, taking his small beer bottle out again for another swig.

Hammerfan nodded and moved forward, following a thin trail of blood. She followed the track to the river, and saw nobody. Just then, someone broke through the water on the other side of the river and collapsed on the bank, reaching for something behind him.

It was Doc Faustus.

"Think you can aim and shoot that far, lady? Or do you need glasses?," Newb laughed as he followed Hammerfan's gaze.

damn V....you've captured the essence of newb right there. Just the other day I was flipping around in the trees.....and I didn't spill a drop of beer ;)
