It's funny i was just having a conversation with my brother about this. I think i'd say Reservoir Dogs is better.

Oh yeah it's a much better crafted film stylistically but I just loved the raw energy of Reservoir Dogs. I dig how it's more condensed too Tarantino tends to ramble on a bit to long. Dogs just had more focus IMO. I didn't think much of Jackie Brown when it was first released but these days I rate it quite highly. It's a really mature film that honed his style nicely ditching all the stuff I've grown to hate in his work. It's a pity everything that followed it was overtly self-reflexive and bordering on plagiarism. He's a great director that's really lost his way IMO. I haven't written him off however and I'm sure he'll kick my ass with a true American classic in the vein of his first three flicks.

Yeah man I love that flick, one of my favourites too. The scene with Slater and Oldman is top notch shit "Is it white boy boy day?". Walken and Hopper's scene together is a classic piece of cinema too. In hindsight I bet the studio is kicking themselves that they didn't let Tarantino direct it. I don't know if it would've been a good thing or not... I know Natural Born Killers was much better without his direction (dude was pretty pissed he couldn't buy back his script!).

I got this as an xmas present-already seen it but can't wait to see it again!
By the way leezuki-thanks for the rec about Grave Encounters-I was worried it was going to be another Paranormal activity rip off but it wasn't at all. It surpassed my expectations-super creepy-great stuff.
