Someone else told me about Brainscan too. Not sure who...anyhow, gonna get it. Beetlejuice is in for the Fest, probably around the last week or so. :)

I watched one last week that you'd probably like for something like this: The Mole People!

I guess MST3K did it once, but I thought it was super fun on its own. Pretty dumb, I'll admit, the the creatures are cool and the dude that played Alfred in the 1960's Batman is the main human villain :D

Funny how quickly the year went by...I still remember all those cheesy creature shitfests from last year.

Anyway, this year its gonna be action, baby. And lots of it.

Almost all of Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Willis, John Woo, Segal, Van Damme...and obscure 80s shit which I m sure many haven't even heard of (except maybe Elvis & Mothman).

Oh yes, there will be a re-toss in of The Matrix trio and Die Hard quadro too in there somewhere. But it will be mostly 80s (and some 90s) stuff. Gonna stretch the legs of this new Altec Lansing speakers I got.

Got any other good recs I need to queue?

Okay these are the ones shortlisted for this year...keeping the more popular-and-viewed ones out...

Commando
Raw Deal
Red Heat
Total Recall
Eraser
The Last Boy Scout
Mercury Rising
Last Man Standing
Cobra
Assassins
Death Race 2000
Tango & Cash
Demolition Man
Judge Dredd
Copland
The Untouchables
No Way Out
Silverado
Under Siege 1 & 2
Above The Law
Hard To Kill
Marked For Death
Double Impact
Street Fighter
Nowhere to Run
Timecop
Maximum Risk
Con Air
Face Off (cant have one without this!)
The Rock
Gone in 60 Seconds
The Last Ride
The Replacement Killers
The Killer
Hard-Boiled
Equalizer 2000
Fists of Steel
Final Mission
Silent Rage
Hero and the Terror
Invasion USA
Forced Vengeance
The Octagon
Action Jackson
48 Hours
Avenging Force
The Exterminator
Steel Dawn
Streets of Fire
Flashpoint

Making a point to watch most (if not all) of these by the end of the month. Suggestions welcome, as long as they involve slightly less popular actioners.

Also, if you are a fan of cheesy, over-the-top 80s action flicks (like Elvis & Mothman), see if you can dig out some of this man's stuff - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0379391/

Blind Fury
Trancers
Fortress
Red Scorpion
Sniper

I have Blind Fury and Sniper (including its sequels). Good time to give those a re-spin. Think Best of the Best is around here somewhere too...

Thanks for the recs, bud.

Not even getting into the obscure yet.

Why do you hate Dolph?

Universal Solider, The Punisher, and Dark Angel are all missing. Don't forget Fulci's The New Gladiators, Deadbeat at Dawn, or Cage. :)

Lady Terminator, The Drunken Master, 1990: Bronx Warriors...

Actually I forgot to mention - both Punisher movies are included. Have watched all 3 Universal Soldier movies recently so keeping them out. I ll see about including the Dolph one which John Woo made...forgetting the name right now (Blackjack?).

I have a couple of Fulci's westerns. Still need to get his fantasy flick.

Good ones. Reminds me to toss some of Jackie Chan's early stuff in there. Project A, Police Story...classic!

Got me planning an action night now for my friends, only we'll be cross generation and not as obscure. I still might make them sit through Cage though. ;)

Let us know if you find any crazy action flicks that aren't talked about often.
