They both have made some incredible films, but I have to say Sam Raimi comes out on top.

If this were the 'Directors Tournament' then it'd be a hard match but it's the 'Horror Directors Tournament', so imo it's Raimi hands down.

I'm going to say Peter Jackson to keep it alive since I can't decide. Don't care for his new stuff at all but oh well.

Sam's early stuff was good but got a bit weker, all of Jacksons work is solid, so Jackson.

Dead alive and Evil Dead are my two favorite horror films of all time. this is a tough one...I'd have to say Peter jackson, because Riami has some crappy ones under his belt, whilst all of PJ's films are phenomonal. both are both excellent either way.

10-6 Sam Raimi manages to fend off Peter Jackson, who made a surge at the end, but it was too little too late.
