Phantom of the Opera [1925]

Got to be my absolute favourite silent film. Loved it!

In the Mouth of Madness

Well, this one certainly was an original, and somewhat confusing, plot. The gore was minimal but what was there was okay. The acting was good, the story was pretty cool and as usual, John Carpenter did a good job directing.

Mystery Science Theatre 3000: Hercules Unchained

Well, Hercules itself sucked. Horrible editing, and overdubbing, nonsensical plot, all around terrible movie.

D-

But as for the MST3K version with the commentary, that was a large step forward. This episode certainly wasn't their best, but the witty remarks are abundant and it makes for a fairly entertaining view.

C+
