Ya, stop busting on us, Yo! Terms was a way better film than Elm, it's just not a horror film. Expand your tastes.

A Nightmare on Elm Street, easy. One of a small number of slashers that are objectively good and, in my opinion, reach masterpiece level. I love slashers, but most are not of high quality objectively. There is a small group that is high quality and Nightmare on Elm Street is definitely one of those films and is easily near the top of that list.

A Nightmare on Elm Street - 5 (MichaelMyers, horcrux2007, metternich1815, The Villain, roshiq)
Terms of Endearment - 2 (hammerfan, Sculpt)
Bloodsport - 2 (realdealblues, The Bloofer Lady)

A Nightmare on Elm Street spooks out the other two and finishes an easy win!
