CHATO'S LAND (1972). Charles Bronson stars in this Michael Winner western (First time the two worked together, I believe) as a Native American forced to shoot an harassing Sheriff in self defense then being tracked by a Lynch mob, consisting of bitter ex-Civil War vets and foul tempered locals. In fact, it's almost a small mob after one guy. Very much in the Peckinpah western mode with violent very asocial characters that help their demise almost as CB does. ***

I just looked back at this one, and it is also more amazing than I remember it. Jack Deth really had his work cut out for him, and he might very well have met his match several times if it weren't for his great help showing up at the right time to save him. His at the time new ally, Shark, is even more bad- ass than I remembered him, and really handled the store robbers and the trancers like a boss. The corrupt scientist who made his own army of trancers with his serrum is really something else, and his trancers were a lot more powerful and unpredictable than most of the others. The action, fx, and staged combat is also amazing with its picture quality not looking like just a B-movie at all. Fans of the Trancers and Dollman franchises should love this one for sure.

DEATHTRAP (1982). Black comedy about Playwright Michael Caine who is in a slump receiving an excellent script from Student Christopher Reeve and the steps He takes to procure it. Some really good scenes, but a couple involving a Psychic neighbor puts a big Hammerlock on the film. **1/2

ZOMBI 2, I MEAN ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS!?
I have recently been going through my Italian horror collection starting with Dario Argento and the three mothers trilogy (thoughts on Inferno anyone?) and also watching Fulci's films; starting with Zombie Flesh Eaters (Zombi 2) the first zombie film I saw before the original Dawn of the Dead and so has a special place in my heart (before the flick tries to eat it) as my "first" ;)

Evil Dead II - A great mix of goofy and scary. A fun ride that still holds up, or at least for me.
