I love this film.

Roddy McDowall is excellent in it.

Drug addiction, alcoholism, sadism, beastiality, mutilation, murder, vampirism, necrophilia, cannibalism, not to mention a gamut of sexual goodies. Shall I go on?

I know! My favorite role of his. Also loved Pamela Franklin in it.

I read the Legend of Hell House before I saw the movie, and it is a great read. I got caught up in the first few pages and didn't really put the book down until I was done some hours later. The movie is very good too, I think one of the better haunted house movies that have been made, definitely in the top ten if not the top five.

The Book is a bit nastier than the film - I wish they didn't reduce the history of Hell House to a few lines from Ben.

C.H.U.D

Pretty solid monster flick. It went for the Jaws mode of saving the monsters for the final reel which would've failed miserably in most other films but the great cast kept it rolling.

The Stuff

Lots of fun. Enjoyed the dig at fast food chains. Some of the effects got pretty goofy towards the end but it just added to it's charm for me.

Rabid (1977)

Not my favorite of Cronenberg's, but still pretty interesting. The body horror was great, the overall story arc seemed a bit one dimensional. I doubt I'll revisit it as much as his other stuff, but glad I finally watched it.
